Course Details
The Puente Education Services Component 3 Coaching Cohort includes 12 live online sessions designed to help National Board candidates understand Component 3 expectations, reflect deeply on their teaching, and approach the certification process with greater clarity and confidence.

- September 22 and 29
- October 6, 13, 20, and 27
- November 3, 17, and 24
- December 1, 8, and 15
There will be no class on November 10.
Time: 6:00–8:00 PM ET
Location: Google Meet
Tuition: $279
Cohort capacity: 12 participants
Enrollment deadline: September 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET, or when all 12 spaces have been filled
Each two-hour session will include structured Component 3 instruction followed by dedicated time for participant questions and discussion. The balance between instruction and Q&A may vary based on the session topic and the needs of the cohort.
What Tuition Includes
Tuition includes:
- 12 live online cohort sessions
- Component 3 course materials
- Access to the recorded instructional portions of the sessions through May 31, 2027
- Opportunities to ask questions during the designated Q&A portions of class
Individual coaching sessions, review of written commentary, review of candidate videos, and support between sessions are not included. Email communication is limited to course logistics. Candidate questions will be addressed during the live cohort sessions.
Payment and Enrollment
Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of the full $279 tuition payment through Puente Education Services’ secure Stripe checkout. A participant’s place in the cohort is reserved only after payment has been successfully completed.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations received by September 15, 2026, are eligible for a full refund. Beginning September 16, tuition is nonrefundable because the participant’s place in the small cohort has been reserved.
If Puente Education Services cancels the cohort, participants will receive a full refund.
Missed and Rescheduled Sessions
If a participant misses a session, the recorded instructional portion will be available for viewing. Missed sessions will not be individually rescheduled.
If Puente Education Services must cancel a scheduled session because of illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond its control, the session will be rescheduled. Participants will receive the new date and access to the recording if they are unable to attend the rescheduled session.
Session Recordings and Future Course Use
The instructional portion of each live session will be recorded. Recordings will be available to enrolled cohort participants through May 31, 2027.
Puente Education Services may edit, package, and sell its recorded instructional content as part of a future self-paced course. Participant Q&A and discussion will occur after the recorded instructional portion and will not be included in the future course. Any incidental participant contributions captured during instruction will be removed before the content is used commercially.
Participants may not record, share, copy, reproduce, or redistribute cohort sessions, recordings, or course materials. All course materials are for the enrolled participant’s personal use.
Ethical Candidate Support
Puente Education Services follows the National Board’s Policy Guidelines for Ethical Candidate Support. Participants remain fully responsible for their instructional decisions, evidence, analysis, reflection, and submitted materials.
During this cohort, Puente Education Services will help participants understand Component 3 expectations, locate and interpret official National Board resources, ask questions that deepen their thinking, and develop systems for managing their work.
Puente Education Services will not:
- Make instructional decisions for candidates
- Create or provide candidate evidence
- Estimate scores or benchmark submissions
- Share candidate entries or secure assessment materials
- Read or edit written commentary
- Watch candidate videos
All work submitted for National Board certification must be entirely the candidate’s own.
Participants are expected to review and follow the National Board’s current Policy Guidelines for Ethical Candidate Support and all other applicable National Board policies.
Certification Outcomes
Participation in the Component 3 Coaching Cohort does not guarantee a particular score or National Board certification outcome. Each candidate remains responsible for understanding and meeting all current National Board requirements and submission deadlines.

Puente Education Services is an independent candidate-support provider and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Participants should use current National Board publications as the authoritative source for certification requirements and policies.
Participant Acknowledgment
By enrolling, I confirm that I have reviewed and agree to these Course Details and Enrollment Terms. I understand the course schedule, payment and refund policies, ethical-support boundaries, recording practices, and my responsibility for producing my own National Board certification materials.
I also understand that the instructional portions of the live cohort will be recorded and may later be edited and sold as a self-paced Puente Education Services course.
